If you are searching for a Singapore tour agency, you usually have three choices: a group tour, independent travel, or a private custom tour.
A group tour is hands-off but fixed. Independent travel is flexible but you handle the research, navigation and queues. A private custom tour sits in between: you get a local guide and a car, but the route follows your rhythm.
We care less about how many attractions fit into a day, and more about how that day should feel — when the children get tired, whether your parents can walk comfortably, and which meal deserves an extra hour.

Do I need a tour guide in Singapore?
If it is your first visit, you are travelling with family, or your time is limited, a private guide makes the trip noticeably easier. Solo travellers on a tight budget can also explore independently — Singapore is compact and easy to navigate.
How do I choose a Singapore tour guide?
Check whether the team is actually based in Singapore, whether they provide a clear itinerary and itemised quote, and whether they stop at shopping outlets. GK Tour Guide is operated by the local GK Travel team, works in Chinese and English, and confirms the plan before you arrive.
How much does a private guide cost in Singapore?
It depends on group size, number of days, vehicle type, and whether tickets and meals are included. Send us your dates and plans and we will provide an itemised quote with no hidden extras.
How many days should I book a guide for?
Three to five days works well. Three days covers Marina Bay, Chinatown and Sentosa. Five days adds the Botanic Gardens, Katong/Joo Chiat and Kampong Glam at a slower pace.
Can I book a car without a guide?
Yes. You can book a car with a driver only, a guide using public transport, or both together. With children or elderly travellers, we usually recommend a car and guide.
What if it rains or we want to change the plan?
Afternoon showers are common in Singapore. Your guide can reorder indoor and outdoor stops on the day, and you can adjust the pace or route as you go.
